For the love of Corfu!

For the love of Corfu!

I suppose you could say that my love of Corfu began in 2007, when I was introduced to the Emerald Island. I had always heard people talking about the ‘Corfu Bug’ but I never really knew what they were referring to until I experienced it for myself. The island pulses with energy, from the greenery, the smells, the beaches, the mountains, the history, the people and the cats! Every inch of the island is unique and special, and needs to be explored in one’s lifetime, as I did. Everyone who leaves Corfu leaves with a little piece of it in their heart. This is what is known as the ‘Corfu Bug’.

There is more to Corfu than meets the eye; there is Kavos the lively party resort and Sidari the popular family resort, but you also have the magic of Paleokastritsa, where you will experience the clearest and bluest of oceans, the charming fishing village of Kassiopi, Barbati, famed for its beaches and of course, Corfu Town itself, the Venetian heartbeat of the island.

What can we do in Corfu?

Corfu offers civil ceremonies, a non-denominational wedding service which is legally binding, blessings and renewal of vows for couples who have been previously married, Catholic Church ceremonies and Orthodox Church ceremonies.

Where can we do it?

We have many venues dotted around the island to suit all preference; a 5* luxury hotel, a modern beachfront taverna, an Old Fortress restaurant, a private villa offering stunning sea views, a traditional, family run taverna, a Palace fit for a Queen and much more.

When can we go?

Corfu is not called the ‘Emerald Island’ for nothing; it’s one of the greenest islands in Greece due to its wet climate. Fear not as this is usually out of ‘season’ so May to September is recommended.

OK, I’m sold! What do I do next?

We won’t be able to keep it a secret for much longer!
